DEHUMIDIFICATION CHAMBERS
CONTAINING AFFECTED AREAS

Creating dehumidification chambers by containing affected areas on a water damage structural drying project will help to lower drying costs, especially in large open areas where only small portions of the area are affected. Without containment, either additional dehumidifiers or additional time will be required for drying, both adding to drying costs.

Containment is simple with our Zipwall systems. The system uses telescoping, spring loaded poles and attachments. We interlock plastic sheeting between an interlocking head and plate at the top of the poles. With the telescoping action, we can raise the containment barrier over 12 feet high quickly and without ladders. The bottom edge of the sheeting is tucked under the poles to finish sealing off the area. Adhesive zipper “doors” are installed for access so equipment can be added or removed with minimal effects to humidity control inside the contained area.
Containing affected areas and creating “dehumidification chambers” for faster drying is only one of the ways QCI, LLC. accelerates the structural drying process to restore your home or commercial building to original condition in the shortest time possible. By dehumidifying the smallest areas possible we can save customers hundreds of dollars in drying costs.
